LBPCF Proudly Sponsors the LBPD 35th Annual Banquet

This year, the Laguna Beach Police Community Foundation had the honor of sponsoring the Laguna Beach Police Department's 35th Annual Banquet, a milestone morning dedicated to celebrating the men and women who show up for our community every single day.

For 35 years, this banquet has been a tradition that brings together LBPD officers, staff, their families, and the community members who support them. It's one morning set aside to pause and properly recognize the people behind the badge, something that can get lost in the day-to-day rhythm of patrol shifts, emergency calls, and community events.

Behind Every Badge Is a Person

It's easy to see a uniform and think of a role. It's harder to remember the person wearing it, someone who sacrifices time with their own family, pushes through long and often unpredictable shifts, and still finds the energy and heart to connect with the neighbors they protect. Whether it's an employees at community events , a K-9 handler training alongside their partner, or a staff member coordinating behind the scenes to keep our department running, every person who serves this community deserves to be celebrated, not just once a year at a banquet, but in the everyday moments too.

That's exactly what this event is about: giving our employees a morning where the focus is on gratitude instead of the next call.

Why LBPCF Sponsors This Event

The Laguna Beach Police Community Foundation is proud to stand alongside LBPD in honoring their commitment and service. As the only foundation endorsed by Chief Jeff Calvert, we see it as part of our mission to not only fund the equipment and programs that keep our officers safe, but to also invest in the morale, recognition, and sense of community that keeps this department strong from the inside out.

Sponsoring the 35th Annual Banquet is one more way we help fill the gaps that public funding alone can't cover, because celebrating service matters just as much as equipping it.

Helping Those Who Help Others

Helping those who help others, that's what this is all about. Every program we support, from K-9 units to emergency family assistance to events like this banquet, is rooted in the same belief: our officers and their families deserve a community that shows up for them the way they show up for us.
