OFFICER JON COUTCHIE MEMORIAL FUND
COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP
In honor of LBPD Fallen Hero, Motor Officer Jon Coutchie, the Laguna Beach Police Community Foundation has awarded six Laguna Beach High School students with $1,500 each in scholarship funds to be used toward their college tuition in support of a career in criminal justice.
The applications are screened by LBPD personnel and Officer Coutchie’s family and friends to identify one candidate each year that best represents the values that police officers live by daily.

The LBPCF provides vocational or academic scholarships to LBPD employees and their dependents pursue their future endeavors.
CHIEF NEIL PURCELL SCHOLARSHIP
In honor of LBPD Chief Neil Purcell Scholarship honors the longest-serving Police Chief in Laguna Beach history- a tribute to decades of leadership and dedication to this community.
This multi year scholarship benefits employees and/or their dependents. made possible through a generous donation by Board Member Bob Roper.
SKIPPER CARRILLO SCHOLARSHIP
In honor of Skipper Carrillo, an individual who made significant contributions to the Laguna Beach community over several decades. He volunteered for over thirty years. He was the little league umpire, equipment manager at the high school, chainman at Laguna’s high school football games, and bat boy at the high school baseball games. He was truly an inspiration to decades of kids who grew up in Laguna.
