Truly Pizza created something special with their Smoky Vodka Pizza, and the heart behind it is even better than it looks.
A portion of every pizza sold supports the Laguna Beach Police K9 Unit, helping ensure our four-legged officers have the equipment and care they need to do their jobs safely. For every Smoky Vodka pizza ordered, Truly Pizza sets aside $1.00, and those contributions accumulate throughout the year before being donated in full.
A Partnership With Deep Roots, Now Right Here in Laguna Beach
Before opening their doors in north Laguna Beach (at the location formerly known as Madison's), Truly Pizza had been channeling this same donation program to support the Los Angeles Police Department K9 unit. Now that they've become part of our community, that generosity is coming home: this year, and hopefully for years to come, the LBPD K9 Unit will be the beneficiary of their giving.
It's a reminder that supporting the officers who protect us doesn't always come in the form of a check written directly to a foundation. Sometimes it looks like a local business building purpose into their menu, one pizza at a time.
Join Us for the Big Check Presentation
Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 21st. Truly Pizza will be presenting their donation to the Laguna Beach Police Community Foundation with a "big check" celebration at their Laguna Beach location (formerly Madison's) from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the presentation itself taking place at 11:30 AM.
The event won't stop there. A dog adoption will also be happening on-site, giving the day an extra dose of heart for anyone who loves seeing good things come full circle for our four-legged friends.
This Is What Helping Those Who Help Others Looks Like
Our K9 officers rely on specialized equipment, training, and care to do their jobs safely, and partnerships like this one with Truly Pizza make a real difference in meeting those needs. If you're in Laguna Beach, this is your sign to order a Smoky Vodka pizza, and if you're free on November 21st, come celebrate the impact in person.
